TYPESPOTTING. TYPOGRAPHY AND THE CITY

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw

Every weekend during the "Warsaw Under Construction" festival the Museum is hosting meetings, lectures and workshops.
"Typespotting. Typography and the City" is a session for typographers, designers and art historians on the relations between the art of typography and the city - its architecture, history and popular culture.
Speakers list includes Agata Szydłowska (art historian, co-curator of the "Designing Democracy" show at the V&A Museum in London), Artur Frankowski (type & graphic designer, lecturer), Verena Gerlach (German typographer, designer and lecturer at the Design Akademie Berlin) and the French studio M/M Paris (designers of graphics and typefaces for a wide range of clients - from fashion brands as Yohji Yamamoto, Stella McCartney to art museums and artists as Centre Pompidou and Pierre Huyghe, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Sarah Morris).
